SelectWave helps Merchants streamline communications to a group of
targeted consumers. These consumers have asked for communications from
you. Some merchants realize redemption rates as high as 25%. Imagine
having a method to promote excess end of the month inventory on the last
week of the month. You can contact your customers in the morning for
promotions that you have in the afternoon.
SelectWave is also great
for products or services that have a limited life. For example, once the
tee time goes unused or the movie seat goes unoccupied the potential
revenue is lost. After a customer cancels a tee time reservation, a golf
course manager can use SelectWave to contact all the golfers that
expressed an interest in filling that tee time. It’s a matter of clicking
on the Merchant section to send a Message Alert (a short text message) to
interested Members. Members can receive Message Alerts on cell phones or
any e-mail address. This will enable a Member that's at the shopping mall
to receive a Message Alert on his cell phone and decide to go play golf
instead of shopping.
Merchants can measure the return on investment
by tracking the redemption rate. For many golf courses just two additional

What are the fees for Merchants?
|
The first 30 days are free and, during this introduction period, the
installation charge of $1,500 is waived. (The introduction period may end
without notice but those Merchants that start now and maintain their
accounts will never pay the installation fee). After 30 days, if you
decide to continue, it’s starting at just $1,500 per year.

What's in the Merchant profile?
|
Company/contact information and categories for Message Alerts and
Subscriptions. This information is included in the SelectWave web page so
Members can sign up for and receive your Message Alerts and
Subscriptions.

How do I update my profile and what happens if I
do?
|
After you login to the Merchant portion of the site, click on the
profile button and follow the prompts to make updates. All the changes
that you make to your profile will be reflected on the Member portion of
the site. For example, if you decided that you would like to give Members
the opportunity to subscribe to Message Alerts related to tee times, just
check the cooresponding box. The result is that Members will be able to
select your tee times. When you have a tee time available, with just a
click of the mouse you can send a Message Alert to those interested
Members.

What are Message Alerts and how do I send
them?
|
Message Alerts are short text messages that you send to those Members
that have indicated that they want to receive them. Members can receive
them on their cell/mobile phones, home or office e-mail address, and any
other e-mail address. For a more complete description click

You can send Message Alerts by category, by
distribution list and by picking individual Members. This gives you the
maximum flexibility to quickly target the Members that are interested in
receiving your Message Alerts.

What are system generated Message
Alerts?
|
SelectWave automatically generates the content of Message Alerts based
on your profile. For example, the name of your company and phone number
are pre-printed in the message area. You have the option to use this
content or create ones of your own.

What are Message Alert categories and how do I use
them?
|
Categories are selections that Members make for specific types of
Message Alerts. For example, for golf courses the categories are: tee
times, woods/irons, accessories, apparel and golf school; for movie
theaters the categories are: movie listings/times and discount tickets.
Merchants can also add a category.
To use categories, it's as easy
as selecting one for a Message Alert. SelectWave will automaticaly send it
to those Members that indicated interest.

What are Subscriptions and how do I use
them?
|
Subscriptions are periodic publications sent by Merchant to
subscribing Members. For example, Merchants may send newsletters, calendar
of events, meeting minutes or other documents to a mailing list through
the US Postal Service. However, with SelectWave, Merchants don't have to
print the documents, pay for postage and prepare envelops. It's just a
matter of clicking and sending. In addition, Subscriptions can be
personalized for each receiving Member. Merchants have the option to add a
line of text like "Dear Smith Family" (Smith will be substituted by the
cooresponding last name of the receiving member) or other personalized
text. Subscriptions can be sent as formatted HTML that includes embedded/referenced graphics or just simple text. All Subscriptions and the names of the receiving Members are stored
within SelectWave for Merchant review.

What are private lists?
|
Private lists are Merchant defined lists of Members that enable
the sending of Message Alerts and/or Subscriptions only to those Members--the general public does not have the capability to
join the list. These lists are separate from the
public lists. Merchants can use the private lists to send special mesages
only to employees or specific customers.

Can I see copies of the Message Alerts that I
sent?
|
Sure, SelectWave keeps copies of all the Message Alerts that you sent.
Once you login, click on the messages button. You can sort by Member, date
and Message Alert.

Why do I need to logout when I am
done?

This will better protect your account from unauthorized users. For
example if you walk away from your computer without logging out then
