Why should I become a Member?

SelectWave enables communications between Members and Merchants. As a
Member you can specify when and how often Merchants can contact you. That
is, you pick the Merchants and the types of products that are of most
interest to you. Some Members may be interested in tee times on the
weekends while others are interested in movie listings. Members can
receive the communications on cell/mobile phones, PDAs and home/office
computers. Imagine shopping at the mall when you get a Message Alerts (a short text message) on your
cell phone that tells you about a tee time that just opened up at your
favorite golf course. Maybe you just want to know when you can get a
discount at the neighborhood pizza restaurant. All communications are
delivered to you when you want them plus a copy is stored for you on the
SelectWave site.

How much does it cost to join as a
Member?
|
SelectWave does not charge Members to join. However, any costs to
access the Internet and to receive Message Alerts/Subsciptions are the
sole responsibility of the Members. Note that in the event that you elect to receive content on a cell phone or other wireless device you may incur fees from your service provider.

How can I resign my membership?
|
You can resign by sending e-mail to administrator@selectwave.com with
your e-mail address and password. Please put "resign" in the subject
field.

What's a profile, how do I create one and who can
see it?
|
When you become a Member, your profile is created for you. It contains
your contact information and it's stored confidentially within SelectWave.
Although Merchants use the SelectWave system to send Message Alerts and Subscriptions to you, they will
never see or have direct access to your e-mail addresses or phone numbers.

When you create the profile
you pick the Merchants and the types and amount of communication that you
want, if any, with each Merchant. It's simple and you can change it any
time that you want. It just takes a few minutes to create. Click here to get

How do I update my Member
profile?
|
Once you login it's as easy as following the prompts. Click on the
profile button and then feel free to make changes that you see
fit.

What are Message Alerts and where are they
sent?
|
Message Alerts are short
text messages sent by the Merchants that you pick. As a Member, you
determine where, when and how many. Some Members elect to have Message
Alerts sent to their office e-mail address on weekdays, to their home
e-mail address on the weekends and their mobile/cell phones in the
evenings. Others elect only to have them sent to their Personal Digital
Assistants (PDA, like Palm Pilot or Compaq iPaq) in the evenings. Members
have complete discretion over where Message Alerts are sent.

How do I know if my cell phone and other devices
accept Message Alerts?
|
Any device that has an e-mail address and most cell/mobile phones can
accept Message Alerts. Fore example computers, pagers, PDAs have e-mail

How do I validate my cell
phone?
|
Your cell phone must be validated before we can send Message Alerts to
it. When you become a Member and include your cell phone or add/change
your cell phone, we will send it a validation code. After login, you will
be prompted to enter the validation code.
Before validation, the
Message Alerts that are scheduled for your cell phone will instead be sent
to your first e-mail address. However, once the phone is validated you
wont have to validate it again and the Message Alerts that you expect to
be sent to your cell phone will be.

I didn't receive my cell phone validation code.
Can you help me?
|
Depending on network traffic and your wireless carrier, it can take
several minutes before your validation code arrives. If it takes more then
15 minutes please contact us so we
can trouble shoot the problem.

How do I change the number of Message Alerts that I
receive?
|
You can change the number of Message Alerts that are sent to you per
month and per Merchant. For example, one Member may elect to have 30
Message Alerts sent per month from one Merchant while another Member may
be interested in five or six different Merchants. These changes are made
in your profile.

Can I temporarily stop getting Message Alerts when
I'm on vacation?
|
Yes. Within your profile change the number of Message Alerts to
zero(0). You can change it back when you return from vacation.

What if I deleted a Message Alert from my cell
phone by mistake?
|
No problem. A copy of all the Message Alerts, not just the ones that
were sent to your cell phone, are stored in the SelectWave site. After you
login, click on the messages button to see all the Message Alerts that
were sent to you. You can sort them by Merchant and by date.

What's my login?
|
After completing a profile, SelectWave will send to you an e-mail that
includes your login and password. Youll need these to access the Member
section of SelectWave.
Once youre a Member, your first e-mail
address is your login. If you change your first e-mail address, your
Member login will also change (note that if you change your first e-mail
address, we will e-mail to you a new password).

After I sign up, whats my password and how do I
change it?
|
SelectWave will e-mail your initial password to you. You may keep it
or change it to one thats more meaningful to you. To change it you can
click on the the password button within your profile.

help me?
|
Your login is your first e-mail address. If you forgot your password
we will e-mail you another one. Click here to get a new password. If you

Why do I need to logout when I am
done?
|
This will better protect your account from unauthorized users. For
example if you walk away from your computer without logging out then
someone can easily access your account and make changes without your
consent.
